Review: Toonopolis:Gemini By Jeremy Rodden

Toonopolis: Gemini

Book: Toonopolis:Gemini
Author: Jeremy Rodden
Format: Hardcover and E-Book

This book is a wonderful read for all ages. Children can relate the world of Toonopolis and the adults will enjoy the trip into a fantasyland. The author provides a story the engages from beginning to end, providing humor and a look into the life of a toon. While the adults will remember “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”, this story is so much more than that.

The characters are equally engaging. We meet Jacob, whose first encounter in Toonopolis is the talking mirror. From there the cartoon characters are so quirky and engaging! Personally, I think Jimbob, The Talking Eggplant stole the show! There is also Special Agent Mimic, who discovered Toonopolis and started conducting research. I think it’s great that the author used both character’s perspectives to allow the reader to really understand and feel what is going on.

This was a delightful read and one I know I will read again, once my 12-year-old nephew has finished it!
